Now lets get to the heart of it. Is this  the best trail camera for the money? Answer: Maybe.  Sorry.  The Truth Cam series is a very good line of trail cameras.  But they are not perfect.  The 46 here is a step up from the 35 but it still has a few small flaws.  There are 2 small flaws that stand out really.  One is the noise of the camera of the camera itself.  Every time it takes a picture it makes a “clunk” sound.  This is related to the night time lens having to move out of the way.  It can startle game that is close.  Is it a deal breaker? Probably not.  You will still get the shot of the animal and even if they are temporarily startled its not like they are going to run to the next county never to return.Helps keep it in the best trail camera for the money category.

The other small flaw is in the flash.  Every time it takes a pic this game camera produces a visible flash.  At night this can be startling to animals.  One of the nice things that helps keep this in the ring for the best trail camera for the money is the fact that you can adjust this.  In the controls you can select how many of the 46 leds are used to take the picture. Less leds equals less flash.  Experimenting with this will help you find the right balance of acceptable flash while still giving an acceptable picture.

On the plus side of things this deer camera is very adaptable. And no you don’t need a week of reading the manual to figure out how to do it.  Very easy to make adjustments based on how high of resolution you want your pictures to be, quality of video how many shots you want burst mode to be etc.  It also has a hole for a cable lock.  This is great to help keep your trail camera, yours.  The back is equipped with the attachment to install the Truth Cam mount. This device lets you mount the trail camera is a ton of positions to get the best angle for your setup.

Even though the camera has a very fast trigger speed, its always advisable to aim up or down a trail or at a feeding spot rather than across a trail.  Just makes for more quality pictures.  Well that’s about the most of it and I hoped it help.  Like I said, if its not the best trail camera for the money, its close.
